My order arrived 25 pounds short due to UPS damaging the box and losing product. The seller went beyond the call of duty and covered for UPS by giving me another 25 pounds that he was not even responsible for and even gave me an extra 5 pounds as a apology (that UPS should have given) for the hassle. The salt not so hard and doesn't flake making it more adaptable to even spreading. It's a pleasure to grind compared to other salts I've tried and the taste adds to the overall flavor without drowning out other flavors. Great product and great seller! This Himalayan salt is much darker in color than the high priced brand I bought before. The photo I've attached shows the difference between the two, with the other more expensive brand at the bottom of one of our salt grinders. I poured this darker brand on top. For what it's worth, this is a very pretty salt. Flavor is very good also and I have not found any pebbles or other contaminants. My order of 10 pounds came in two 5 lb. bags and then double bagged before being boxed for shipping. While the outer bags had a few holes, the thicker inner bags were intact. Thus there was no spillage whatsoever. I would definitely buy this brand again if the price was as good or better than competing brands.Not sure what some people received that wasn’t packaged well or as expecte, because I got two double bagged packages of coarse grade, pure Himalayan salt. Bought in bulk for bath, but grain and color are exact match to what is currently in my salt grinder. Inner and outer bags are well sealed and then shipped / delivered quickly in a large box with bubble wrap. I only opened one bag - not much dust, grains intact, no visible stones or grit. Looks like 5 stars to me!I've been using Himalayan salt for cooking and bathing for several years but I had never tried the larger granules until now. It can be used similarly to kosher salt in cooking or sprinkled on a steak but it's not really good for using as you would smaller granules. However, it can be put in a grinder and ground to be the size that can be used at the table. I think the flavor of Himalayan salt is superior to every other salt I've tried, even the French and Irish salts that are quite pricey. One of the advantages of Himalayan salt is the abundance of minerals it contains and the lack of processing. It is simply mined and packaged, not taken from the ocean, dried, adulterated to keep it from caking then packaged. Much closer to nature.I never realized regular old salt had "different" taste profiles, but it does. This is very flavorful.Every one comments on my pink salt! The taste is very good, and the story of where it comes from is a great conversation starter!Not as pink as other Pink Himalayan Salts I've used in the past... And I was hoping that the chunks were bigger. I'm used to the bigger chunks that require a few turns on my salt grinder... This only requires 1-2 turns, or even just a few shakes without turning. Tastes about right.Im not obligated to use sea salt (as fashionable as it is) that is increasingly and likely to be contaminated with micro pieces of plastics. Thank you India.
