Its a good plastic grinder! Not cheap end like at smoke shops. The plastic is thick and the teethes are SHARP + numerous for a nice fine grind if needed. I just wish it had a magnet in the middle but due to the size of it ill just be leaving it at home so it doesn't matter.We bought this to replace the one that came with our mighty vaporizer. I read that this one was bigger and I was okay with that. After receiving it and using it for a couple weeks, it does a good job but this thing is huge. Even for me; a 6 foot male with large hands, it’s hard to get a tight grip around the two halves with your nugs in the middle.Most grinders don't have as many teeth and this grinder doesnt have a magnetic center which makes it much more efficient in my experience. I have a smaller one as well but this one is more pwerful.great grinder especially if you use a vape and need a fine grind don't get for blunts its not designed for that but this is one of the best grinders for the cost store and bikle quality is top notch this is better than most 100 dollar grinders but lacks the extra compartments a fair compromise if you ask meIt appears to be authentic Storz and Bickel.The best grinder you can buy.Great grinder although small. Produces a fine grind.I love this Storz-Bickel grinder. It works great to fluff and grind herbal materials. However, I made the mistake of buying the 9.99 grinder thinking it was larger. When I could have spent 6.99 for the same thing.These grinders are the best. Only one I've found that's a sensible size. Oregano. Absolutely not a problem. But I would suggest using this exclusively for high grade marijuana.I spent too many hours trawling through review after review for grinders/mills. Even looking at coffee mills!Allow me to save you some time.SHORT:- This has a task to perform, and performs it well.- Brilliant for the price point/value perspective.- Be aware its larger than most (standard "tin" used to illustrate), and appears to be designed more for home use.WHY THIS ONE?I am a medical cannabis patient, and there are restrictions upon consumption methods. I use a large desktop vaporiser. I needed a grinder that serves vaping well; managing medicinal doses, and providing vape suitable results.After nearly spending far more on fancy alternatives, I pitched for this one, and I'm delighted I did!CAVEATS:- It is rather large, as illustrated.- If you have trouble with your hands, or similar, you may wish to consider something smaller.- If travelling, you might also consider an alternative that's more convenient / secure.As I don't, this serves me well.PRODUCT DESIGN/USAGE:There's a container on the top to keep ground material in. I would be reticent to trust that if travelling. At home, it is fine.Once ground, you can turn the top upside down (lid off), place it on top of the bottom piece, turn it all over and your material is now in the container. Remove the now upside down bottom piece and pop the lid on (which twists to click securely shut - job done, convenient.(That makes more sense when performing the task!)The grinding pieces have an easy and effective action. However the top and bottom halves don't lock together. So be aware of that.The top/bottom grip elements are plastic and aren't the most comfortable. A niggle. Something you might want to consider depending what conditions you're medicating for if you're a patient.SUMMARY:In my view, this is a stay at home mill. And whilst the lid feels a little flimsier, the grinding element is robust and S&B clearly understand how to design for vaporising. No surprise there given the brand, though.I may opt for a more fancy option with filters etc at a later date, but that no longer feels a necessity.I hope you found this review helpful, and if you did I'd really appreciate you giving the Helpful button a quick press!Happy Milling!It's BIG, just as good as the original one, just bigger.Big mill but unfortunately the kids does not seem tight enough you can twist to lock in place but still feels very lose and comes away when grinding. I have the smaller mill which works perfect. Shame as I will need to return.For those of you who are saying the lid is loose, this actually locks in place if you keep twisting it around. You will hear a rather satisfying click when it is locked. Best grinder by far.
